Baseball & Boo Boos~

Zach is finally back to playing baseball. We found a league here we think is good so far. We are learning as we go. His league had an opening ceremony and Jeff turned around and Wayne Gretsky was standing right next to him. He was shocked! I guess his son plays on one of the other teams. He was just walking around like every other dad.
No one was asking for pictures with him or autographs, but I did just happen to click my camera in his direction.
Zach has a big cheering section!

He's mostly playing second base this year. Also, this is his first year where the kids are pitching and not the coaches. It's definitely more intimidating, but he's slowly adjusting.
Landen loves being at the games!
He's #14 this year!(that was always my number)
Bad picture, but he got a hit!

We also had a very scary incident with Landen. Jeff and Zach were playing catch in the yard and Landen ran in between them right when Zach threw the ball too low and it hit poor Landen right in his chubby little cheek.
We had to go to the pediatric urgent care because it was a Saturday night. They don't do x-rays there and the Dr. thought he really needed one in case there was a fracture.
So we ended up at the ER, but thankfully there was no fracture and no concussion, just a bad bruise. They said he'd get a black eye and the bruise would spread down his neck and look awful. But thankfully it never did. This was as bad as it got. Although it looked worse than in these pictures.
His sweet chubby cheeks did a good job of protecting him. The bruise was gone within a week. Praise God!
He was such a trooper at the ER. I think he cried more when he had to leave the toys in the waiting room than when he got hit. He also got weighed there and was 28lbs. 12oz. That's a 5lb. weight gain since we moved here. We were shocked, but it does explain why he has grown out of all his clothes. And he's still following the same growth curve as Mikayla did as a baby.
