Christmas Eve~

We always go to Christmas Eve service at church and then everyone gets to open one gift.So handsome and silly!
Zach opened a robe from G&G Thiesen, he was so excited because we have really needed them this winter!
Mikayla opened her pesent from Zach, a littlekins Husky. Zach has a regular Husky and Mikayla didn't even suspect when he suddenly had to be there for the unwrapping.

So sweet! She kept hugging and kissing him the whole night!

Jeff got a much needed coffeemaker from G&G Thiesen.

Cookies for Santa!

Christmas Parties~

I got to go to the kids Christmas parties this week even though I felt horrible. If I am going to feel bad anyway I might as well just go since it seemed so important to them for me to be there. They never seemed to care when I was well, but I am so glad I went. They were just precious.Zach's class stood up everytime someone came into the room and recited their memory verses for the week, Luke 2: 10-12.Zach was "invited" to do the Discovery program this year. They don't call it the advanced program yet, but that's basically what it is. He has two hours a week when he goes to the Discovery classroom and gets to do fun, hands on projects that keep his active little mind stimulated. Mikayla has been teaching him mutiplication lately and he is actually doing really well. He wants so badly to keep up with his big sis! We are so proud of him and all his hard work, he really is an outstanding student. All A's on his report card, too. He's in first grade, btw. Zach and his good buddy Trevor.

*****

It was fun to just sit back and watch Mikayla have so much fun with her friends, she has a really great class and teacher this year. She had such a great first semester, all A's and Very Good's. Some of her spelling words have been Deuteronomy, Chronicles, and Ecclesiates. And they all have to be spelled in cursive! We are so proud of our "little" 8 1/2 year old(tomorrow!) doing so well in a third grade class with mostly 9 year olds and 3 Ten year olds!

Her best bud Elaina just turned 10!
And we can't forget about little Cha-Cha! Seriously, Jeff called the baby that for a few weeks. Thankfully it didn't stick, we just call him/her "Baby". Here's another poor attempt on my part at a belly pic. Mostly I just don't feel well enough to mess with it so this is as good as it will get for a few more weeks. At least you can see my face in this one!
15 weeks!

Christmas Card Rejects~

I know I am extremely biased, but these are pretty cute for rejects. Can't resist posting them, I am very nostalgic when I am preggo.

2004

2005

This year it was sooooo freezing it was like 5 degrees and it took us about 2 minutes to pick a tree and run back to the car and the kids were still screaming and crying. Good times.
Because they fit him and he loved them!
2006
Still traumitized from last year she only peeked her head out to yell at me.
So this one was actually the one we sent out, but I just love it!

Trimming the Tree & Sledding!

They refused to pose together in front of the tree at the tree lot this year, so this is all I got.
That is actually our tree on the ground behind Mikayla though.

Trying to get a good Christmas picture and they wouldn't stop tickling each other.

The tree was very sappy!

The tree seemed like a normal size on the lot and then we got it home and it was huge! Jeff had to cut the top off just to get it to stand up. Oh well, it is beautiful! You can see how far the kids can reach up the tree this year.
Night sledding!

A beautiful sunset to end the day!

Remeber when they liked each other?

I think they had been watching the skunks getting married on Little Bear.

I think this is December 2004.
They are going to be so mad at me, but it's just too precious!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here!

No sooner did Daddy and Grandpa put up the Christmas lights all over the front yard did we wake up to a blanket of snow. As I type this there is a few more inches and it's still coming down. Makes the 15 degree days worth it.

The top of the wish bone flew across the kitchen, Mikayla's piece was longer though, but I've never seen that happen. They both made wishes anyway.
