Meet George

Zachary made a new friend the week he was home sick and with all the surgery business I forgot to write about it.
~ George and Zachy ~
He caught him by the swings.
He fed him a clementine. And also squeezed some juice onto him.
Army guy had to watch him while Zach rested.
At bedtime that night Zach told me there are 3 important things to know about George.
1. His name is George.
2. George likes clementines.
3. George is cute.
Zachary was so in love with George, but George "flew away" after "napping" on the porch for 2 days.

Our little patient=(

All tuckered out from baseball on sat. morn. When he walked in the door he was so white and had dark circles under his eyes. He insisted that he didn't fall asleep and was so mad I took this pic.
Sick chick Mikayla on saturday.
Feeling a little better on Sunday!
During all the flu business, Mikayla lost her 3rd tooth!! She pulled it out herself Sunday morning!!! It's the bottom left left one. Note to the tooth fairy who just can't seem to do her job right. Something about don't take the tooth just leave the money!

Well, we went ahead with the surgery on monday morning. Zach seemed to be over his flu and Dr. said the Furnuncle(I definitely had it wrong) still looked significant enough that we should just do it. Everything with the surgery went fine. He was in more pain than expected afterward and thus got a "cocktail" which made him very groggy most of the day. He spent the day on the couch and actually ate a happy meal for lunch. I forgot to mention that he got 3 popsicles!!! He just couldn't believe it. He said, " Mommy!! Three popsicles in one day, I usually get 3 in 3 days!!!" He seemed to be doing well until yesterday when the flu came back with a vengeance. Temp. of 104 and lots of diarrhea, poor guy had a terrible day. Mikayla has been fine, but I have had either terrible alleriges or a cold because I've felt horrible as well. He had a pretty bad night last night, but today has been better, temp is around 102 and no tummy troubles since 2:30am. He's snoring soundly on the couch where he's watched roughly 100 shows the past 6 days since Mikayla got sick on thurs. night. He was actually happy this morning when I took his temp. and told him he still had a fever. He said, " Oh good, that means I get to watch tv all day again!" Thank you everyone for your prayers and please continue to pray he gets over this flu bug soon.

Update

Zach's ear is looking about 50% better, but after getting a second opinion from the Pediatrician, it seems like we probably should go ahead with the surgery. We will keep doing everything we can to shrink it, but the Ped. said these kind of things tend to be very stubborn and not ever heal and the ENT said the same thing. So we will just keep praying and see what it looks like on Mon. morning. If we have to do surgery it will be at 9:15am,est. Mikayla actually came down with the Flu on thurs. night and was very sick yesterday, but she is feeling much better today. However, after baseball this morning Zach came home looking very green. He seems ok now but both kids are just lounging in front of the TV and not their ususal selves. Pray we can all get healthy soon. Thank you everyone for your prayers this week!!

Old guys need naps.

Jeff's 32nd Birthday!!

Last Sunday we celebrated Daddy's birthday!! We had organic steaks on the barbie, potato salad a la Target, oraganic doritos, organic spinach salad, and organic strawberries. Mommy had peach tea to make it a perfect summer meal.=)

Could this girl be anymore beautiful, sweet, funny, smart, and sassy??? She is so in to fashion and changes her outfit several times a day and each outfit has to look just so or she won't wear it. And she changes her hairstyle at least 10x a day!! Our little fashionista!!Notice the long, gorgeous, STRAIGHT hair! She loves it straight!

We had an assortment of very yummy cheesecakes, mmmmm...
Zach chose quadruple chocolate. This guys got a little bit of a sweet tooth. One day after Easter while Mommy was checking her e-mail he somehow climbed up and reached the chocolate eggs on top of the fridge and later that day I found 10 wrappers behind the couch!!!!!!!!!! He told us he was made to be sneaky. I didn't even hear him and the computer is right around the corner from the fridge!!
Zach just could not stand not being in on the action so he jumped in with a kiss, he was so excited for daddy's birthday and had been planning it for months!!! He and daddy took a sweet little nap together that afternoon while watching racing while Mikayla and I were at Target. I gave Zach strict instructions not to let daddy peek at the cake or presents and he took his mission so seriously. He posted papers all over the house that said, "Don't Look!!" You can kind of see one in the pic of daddy blowing out his candles. After we got home he said that only daddy took a nap not him because only old guys need naps!!!!!!LOL!!!!! Finally!! A waffle maker that flips! Jeff said he wanted one months ago and Zachary made sure he got the exact one he mentioned. We've been wanting one ever since our other one mysteriously didn't make it from Bakersfield to Indiana.

Fergrunckle??? The Tale of Zachary's Ear~Titled by Zachary

Zach has had black heads in his ears since he was about 4 mos. old. Well, all but one came out on it's "own" over the past year as they've dried out and he has grown. This last one was a little farther in the ear than the others and over the last 4-5 days started looking like a big pink bump. He never really complained about the pain, as usual, but after it kept getting bigger I decided to take him to our allergist/ENT/otolaryngologist. Well, she took one look and said he needed antibiotics and then surgery in order to drain and lance it! So, unless the antibiotic takes care of it completely by monday morning, my baby Zachy will have to go under general anesthesia for this procedure to remove this fergrunckle, the technical term for black head in a sweat duct. Now don't even bother trying to google fergrunckle because I already tried to no avail, so my spelling may be off. However, please keep Zachary's ear in your prayers and pray it will get better by monday morning. I am doing all the homeopathic/natural stuff I can plus the antibiotics, but if surgery is necessary then it will happen monday. Pray for God's perfect will in all of this. Thank you!!
He's such a trooper!! He just laughs and says, "Mom, name it the tale of Zachary's ear!!"

Zachary's creations

Zachy and Daddy planted all the sprouts this weekend! Zachary did a great job planting and watering while Mikayla swung on the swings with her friends.
Afterward, Zachary said he wanted to make lunch for "the girls" and since we were out of bread for PBJ'S he made each girl a "Smiley Face Fruit Plate!!"
