Lost Tooth #4

This is one of Mikayla's baby books which she LOVES to look at.

I opened it one day to find she had drawn this picture and just slipped it in her baby book without even telling me. It just melted my heart! She really does express herself a lot through writing and drawing.

I was looking in her book to see if her teeth where coming out the same way they came in and they are!!
Bottom right came out first, then bottom left, then bottom left left, and then on Memorial Day(5-28-07) right before bed she finally pulled out top right!!It had been just hanging there all day and she wouldn't stop wiggling it the whole time at Holiday World and on the way home. That's how she is with wiggly teeth. She won't pull them out, but she can't stop messing with them.
It is actually still attached here.
Then it finally just fell out!

She looks so different now! With her short hair and missing teeth, she looks like a different girl. Here she is sleeping in the spare bedroom while I was painting her room. Pictures of the new Tinker Bell room coming soon!

The Inside Story of Zachary's Ear

You can't even tell he had a ferknunkle in there! I told Zachary I was going to post a picture of his ear now that it's all better and he suggested we call it the inside story of Zachary's ear!! He is such a funny guy! It really looks great in there and he's gained all his weight back and a little more, plus he has grown an inch in the past 2 mos. He is now 4' 2" tall and 60lbs. Did I mention that he turned 5 in February. I just can't believe how my baby has grown. He told us last night that he doesn't like it when we try to help him all the time. He wants to do everything BY HIMSELF!! At least he still lets me give him kisses!! Here's some pics from his "Cars" birthday party.

Notice the empty spot in the middle of the cake where there was a car. He nabbed it when we weren't looking and ate the frosting off of the wheels. The frosting happened to be black and he was sitting on the couch and there was black all over his face and the couch just as the first guest arrived.

~Just some summer fun~

Go Bluejays!All-American Boy!
No teeth left to bite with.
Don't even think about it!!
Last day of school for Mikayla
Mikayla decided to sell off all of Zachy's Larry Boy Toys.

Memorial Day Weenend=Holiday World in Santa Claus Indiana!!!

For Memorial Day weekend we decided last minute to drive south for three hours and spend a couple days in Santa Claus Indiana. It was so much fun! For $30 you got into both Holiday World and Splashin' Safari! All drinks were free and the food was cheap and yummy! We had a blast!!They had a mix of Christmas and Christian music playing all day!
Every area of the park had it's own holiday theme like Christmas or Thanksgiving or Halloween.
Mikayla was a little bit weary of the rides, but ended up having lots of fun.
In the pool at the hotel
This was a very rural part of Indiana, so the food choices around the hotel were limited, but look here!! Frog legs delivered directly to our hotel room! And Fiddlers, which I think was fried Catfish. Every restaturant had that, too.
Zachary wanted to ride everything and even jumped on a kiddie roller coaster by himself. At the last minute I caught him and rode with him. Good thing because even though it was small it was very fast and very bumpy and after one time around he was begging to get off. Zachary has this thing about not listening and running off when he gets really over tired. That's what happened when we were in the kids area and he ran over to the roller coaster line.
Oh, the fun!!

Little Buckaroos!!

May 23rd, 2007
Mikayla got invited to a horseback riding birthday party and after watching tentatively and begging for me to take her home she decided to ride with one of her best friends.
All was fine and dandy until a balloon popped right next to her horse and he tried to buck Mikayla and her friend off TWICE!! Only by God's grace did they not fall off (she squeezed her friend pretty tightly)and the handler was very experienced and handled it just right. Mikayla quickly got off that horse and we were outta there!!
I am just so proud of her for trying despite her fears. She has really gotten over a lot of them this past year.
Zach just loved it of course and thought it was hilarious that the horses just poop and then they just put a little dirt over it and move on.
Here are some of the said fears she has overcome~
She actually got her picture taken with Santa!!! This is truly a Christmas miracle. Her fear of crazy singing stuffed animals. Her fear of rolling over the bar and the balance beam.Alas, she is still afraid of tappan yaki.=(And flaming cheese, for the record. No Greek or Japanese food for us!
