I'm not complaining, we are really grateful we were able to go to Disneyland! The kids have been asking since we moved here and it seems impossible to find the right day.(Its' only about an hour and a half from our house). Mikayla had a week off for "Ski Week" and it was prior to the Spring Break rush so we decided to go for it. Landen had been on antibiotics for his Bronchitis for about a week and was mostly better. I, however, had been sick all week and had ear pain that did end up being an ear infection. FYI, don't go to DL with an ear infection. Maybe that is why it felt so exhausting, but all in all it was a great day. (This was actually about 3 weeks ago.)
We ended up having to take Zach out of school for "allergies" but the truth is he really was having some allergy trouble that day.
Here's the proof~
We actually surprised Zach(and Landen) that morning by telling them at breakfast since it was Zach's birthday week. Landen told me, "Mommy, dat's siwwy(silly)" and Zach thought we were going without him while he was at school and asked me to buy him something! He was sooooo surprised and excited when I told him he could come too!
I felt bad taking him out of school for a day, but then he told me one of his friends in his class took a whole week off to go to Disney and Mikayla said her friends do the same thing all the time. I guess that's "normal" here!
I guess it's tradition now that we always go to the Tea Cups first. Landen and Mikayla love them!
Landen loved turning the wheel to spin faster, can you tell!?! I got super dizzy and that pretty much confirmed to me that I did indeed have an ear infection.
Then it was off to It's a Small World.
I always think his hair makes a heart.<3
I think after this we had lunch and then went on the Buzz Lightyear ride. The pictures didn't really turn out.
Then Zach, Mikayla, and I went on Pirates of the Carribean while Jeff tried to get Landen to nap. We all loved Pirates and the line moved pretty fast, but they both still clung to me the whole time(they were a little scared). I actually loved having this special time with them and to be able to hear their thoughts and snuggle with my "big kids!" It was my favorite part of the day!
He took a good 45 minute nap and then was ready for more!
A little groggy, but the "ferris wheel" as he called it, was the one thing he had been asking to go on.
Then Dumbo while daddy got us some ice cream!
We stopped to take in the parade on our way to use our Big Thunder Mt. fast passes.
Landen loved seeing Mickey and Minnie and Goofy! Those are his favorites and since we never made it to Toontown I was glad we caught the parade.
Just Zach and I went on Big Thunder Mt. and we had a blast! Zach loves roller coasters but Mikayla was more than happy to go with Jeff and Landen on Casey's circus train. Landen talked about going on that train all day!
As we were leaving Jeff took Landen over to see Mickey but he was too tired to want to get too close. But the first thing he said when he woke up the next morning was, "Take picture with Mickey Mouse now?"
I guess that means we have to go back!

Looks and sounds like you picked a great day to go to Disneyland. I see the heart in Landen's hair, that's so cool! Don't lose too much sleep over taking them out of school, there will be plenty more. Family time is important. What a fun day!!
