Snugglin' with Grammie~

Landen kept hopping up on the couch and sitting next to Grammie!
It's taken him longer to warm up to her, but I always say it's because there are usually tons of cousins around vying for his attention!

The Most Exhausting Place on Earth~

I'm not complaining, we are really grateful we were able to go to Disneyland! The kids have been asking since we moved here and it seems impossible to find the right day.(Its' only about an hour and a half from our house). Mikayla had a week off for "Ski Week" and it was prior to the Spring Break rush so we decided to go for it. Landen had been on antibiotics for his Bronchitis for about a week and was mostly better. I, however, had been sick all week and had ear pain that did end up being an ear infection. FYI, don't go to DL with an ear infection. Maybe that is why it felt so exhausting, but all in all it was a great day. (This was actually about 3 weeks ago.)

We ended up having to take Zach out of school for "allergies" but the truth is he really was having some allergy trouble that day.
Here's the proof~
We actually surprised Zach(and Landen) that morning by telling them at breakfast since it was Zach's birthday week. Landen told me, "Mommy, dat's siwwy(silly)" and Zach thought we were going without him while he was at school and asked me to buy him something! He was sooooo surprised and excited when I told him he could come too!
I felt bad taking him out of school for a day, but then he told me one of his friends in his class took a whole week off to go to Disney and Mikayla said her friends do the same thing all the time. I guess that's "normal" here!
I guess it's tradition now that we always go to the Tea Cups first. Landen and Mikayla love them!
Landen loved turning the wheel to spin faster, can you tell!?! I got super dizzy and that pretty much confirmed to me that I did indeed have an ear infection.
Then it was off to It's a Small World.
I always think his hair makes a heart.<3
I think after this we had lunch and then went on the Buzz Lightyear ride. The pictures didn't really turn out.
Then Zach, Mikayla, and I went on Pirates of the Carribean while Jeff tried to get Landen to nap. We all loved Pirates and the line moved pretty fast, but they both still clung to me the whole time(they were a little scared). I actually loved having this special time with them and to be able to hear their thoughts and snuggle with my "big kids!" It was my favorite part of the day!
He took a good 45 minute nap and then was ready for more!
A little groggy, but the "ferris wheel" as he called it, was the one thing he had been asking to go on.

Then Dumbo while daddy got us some ice cream!
We stopped to take in the parade on our way to use our Big Thunder Mt. fast passes.
Landen loved seeing Mickey and Minnie and Goofy! Those are his favorites and since we never made it to Toontown I was glad we caught the parade.
Just Zach and I went on Big Thunder Mt. and we had a blast! Zach loves roller coasters but Mikayla was more than happy to go with Jeff and Landen on Casey's circus train. Landen talked about going on that train all day!
As we were leaving Jeff took Landen over to see Mickey but he was too tired to want to get too close. But the first thing he said when he woke up the next morning was, "Take picture with Mickey Mouse now?"
I guess that means we have to go back!

Birthday Breakfast & Dinner~

Zach got this box about a week before his birthday and the first thing he asked was, "Can I open it now!?!" That's very typical Zach! He couldn't resist asking just in case I would let him ignore the very obvious signs to not open.
The morning of his birthday playing with some new legos bought with his gift card from Aunt Kelly! Landen was thrilled to be able to "play too."

Waiting for birthday donuts. It' a tradition now for Daddy and Zach to go get birthday donuts on Zach's b-day.
"Mom! It's as big as my head!"

Sweet (little) big boy.
Pink for the girlie girl.

Present time! He FINALLY got a membership to Club Penguin!
Notice his blanket draped over his suit coat. That's our boy!
Zach gets 1 hug per year from Mikayla and he loves it soooo much!
I got him another Odessey Audio book CD. They are about 5 hours long and the kids love them so much. It helps us all endure the hours we are in the car every week.
The big 10 year old! Love that smile.
After changing his mind about 10 times he finally went back to his first choice or dinner, Famous Dave's.

My beautiful girl!
He did not want a picture with me and refuse to smile. It's ok, I am used to the tween attitude now.
Poor baby was finally well enough after having bronchitis to eat something. He scarfed down a whole hamburger!
Totally embarrassed.
It was worth it for a dessert bigger than his head.
Happy 10th birthday to our handsome young man!!!!
Landen didn't want even one bite, but he drizzled the melted ice cream over the cake for the longest time.
Just for my memory, Zach asked me all week to make him a Key Lime pie. I said ok but I was glad he was fine with ice cream because I have no idea how to make Key Lime pie!
