Finally got a chance to do an update about Zach and all the great things he's been able to do over the last few months. He is always on the go and ready for an adventure.
One of his friends from Indiana was in the area and was able to visit for a few hours. It was like no time had gone by and they got right to work digging a huge hole on the beach. He still really misses all his friends from Indiana and while it was so great to see a friend it made us all a little "homesick" if that makes any sense.
He did spring baseball again. A different league this year so practices and games were closer to home and more school friends on his team. I think overall they came in 4th. He improved a lot over the season and played mostly outfield and shortstop.
Zach and Landen love to play outside together and one day they started playing soccer. Every time Landen would make a goal they jump and cheer and make lots of noise!
Zach is such a great big brother! |
Best Buds! |
At the end of 4th grade his class did a great play about the California Gold Rush.
His BFF's are the ones with the mustaches. |
He had a few lines and a song with this group and he did such a great job!
So handsome! |
One day he was bored and I said that was a good thing because then he could start using his imagination. He then asked for my old camera and went out to our backyard and took these pictures. He's always had an interest in photography.
Last but not least Zach did a kids triathlon camp a few weeks ago. At the end of the week they did a triathlon. He was so much bigger that his age group that he ended up being in the 14 and under group and still was the tallest.
Getting psyched up! |
Swimming is not his favorite at all. He's never had any lessons and he really could have done without it, but he gave it his all!
The claw might not have been the most efficient stroke, but he still did great. |
Landen yelled. "Go Bwo, bwo, go!" the whole time. |
He always did a great push off! |
After swimming he was in last place, but he made up a ton of time on the 1 mile bike ride.
He was really tired after the ride but still ran great.
Is that really my baby!?! |
Final push to the finish line! |
He ended up coming in 4th! He was so exhausted, but we were so proud of how great he did for his first triathlon!
I can't believe how big he looks in all these pictures. I keep having to tell everyone he's only 10 years old and I don't think they really believe me. And I really can't believe he will be starting 5th grade next week!
We love you Zachary!
