Last, but certainly not least, the grand finale of our staycation was being home for Easter. Our first holiday in our new home. Some of these pictures aren't that exciting, but since I am still working on before and after pictures these will give a peek into what our new house looks like.
Love to see the kids reactions when they come downstairs. Love my double ovens! I am spoiled!
Landen stopped and bent down to see his basket, I thought that was really cute.
But he had to stop first to dance to "Peter Cottontail." We've had those singing bunnies since Mikayla's first Easter.
Zach was so happy! He has wanted this game for forever!
This is our front entry way. It's still a mess, but that may never change.
Big kids hunting for eggs. Landen had no interest in looking for eggs. Here's our messy kitchen.
Sweet boy loved his Elmo backpack even though he's really over Elmo and Sesame street.
My sweet bunnies!
Wow!
Landen was pretty tired by the time we were leaving for church. We love our church and the Easter service was amazing. They had an huge cross on stage made entirely of Calla lilies.
It was a pretty cold morning, so Landen couldn't wear his Easter outfit. Instead he wore the outfit Zach wore for his 1st birthday pictures. Yes, I saved it. Landen is still not even as big as Zach was on his first birthday. Zach was 33lbs. and Landen is about 28lbs. last I checked. I don't think they look very much like each other even though everyone says they do. That's a normal sized column, he was really huge! Just kidding, but still, what is up with the column?? And those work boots?
Such a cutie pie!
Love our front door! And these four.=)
Lots of sweaters and leggings had to be added to our Easter duds.
We came home and had chili and then the kids made Resurrection rolls. Each step of the process represents part of the Resurrection story.
I thought I had vinegar, but didn't. The box said you could use water, but even after soaking all night the only color that worked was pink. Oops.
Landen waiting for daddy to hide the lightly colored eggs.
So cute.
He finally got the hang of it!
This is pretty typical. Zach runs around getting all the eggs and Mikayla follows him and then tries to grab them out of his hand. Also, this is about half of our back yard.
He found one!
The other half of our back yard. Yep. About a tenth of the size of our yard in Indy, but a lot less maintenance.
Apparently the rolls have to be sealed really well (ours were not), but if it works they will be empty inside just like the tomb! They were really yummy though!
He was fine until we got close, but we just had to try!

I LOVE Zach's shirt in the Easter Bunny pic... he looks so grown up in that picture, too.
