Landen's First Story~
Landen and Mikayla were sitting on my bed and he asked her to tell him a story and when she was done he decided he needed to tell a story too! He's never done anything like that before, but I love to hear what's going on in that little mind. I have no idea where he got all those ideas!

Catching Up~
The Saturday before Easter we stayed home and had the perfect day at home dyeing eggs and having egg hunts all afternoon. The weather was perfect and everyone was in good moods.
Landen made Sissy hop around the yard like a bunny. Can you tell he's the boss?!
Jeff hid all the eggs about 5 times.
Coloring eggs!
Most days I have to wake Landen up to go get the kids from school. He is so precious and never complains. Usually he says, "Ruff, ruff." He likes to pretend he's a puppy when he's sleepy, but only with me and he loves it when I call him my puppy wuppy and sometimes he pretends to lick me. If he's really sleepy he will just talk a stream of consciousness and say things like, "Yes! I did have fun at Papa's house for the egg hunt, I need cheddar bunnies, yum they are so delicious and tasty, go get sissy and brobro at school?"
Landen has been fake burping really loud all week and he thinks he is just hilarious! He is such a little sweetheart, but he is all boy!
Zach finally lost his "robot tooth" that the dentist in Indiana insisted was rotten and wouldn't you know it, it looked just fine. I've seen many teeth come out and have hidden decay and this one was definitely a case of a dentist just trying to get all of our $ from our flexible spending account. GRRR! But I am so glad it is finally out and so was Zach! The Tooth Fairy gives $2 for robot teeth.

Easter 2012~
After having our Easter at home(pictures to come) we headed to Bakersfield for some more egg hunting and yummy food.
Landen got a fishing pole in his basket and he loved it!
A belated birthday gift of pirate stuff for Jake and Zach. I wanted them to be able to open them at the same time.
Papa has the most beautiful roses in his yard!
First up the egg hunt! The big kids were so fast I didn't get any pictures of them, but Landen had a blast getting all the eggs on the ground.
He insisted that he needed to show Papa his loot!
Yummy ham by Papa!
The kids trying to get a clue out of RuthAnn as to the location of "Big Blue," the egg with $2 in it. I love Mikayla's face!
Playing B-ball with the big boys!
Jake & Zach braved the pool, I think it was about 72 degrees?!?!
Best Buds!
We attempted to make Resurrection rolls again. The process was fun and everyone seemed to enjoy the symbolism, but they were a big fail again. Marshmallow oozed everywhere even though we tried to seal them really tight. But they were still delicious. Either way, He is not here, He is risen, just as He said!
Landen spent the whole afternoon "playing" with Cameron and Chase in the backyard.
They are so sweet and patient with Landen as he bossed them around.
Sweet Natalie and Landen.
Jake loves his gramma!
Landen always develops these elaborate games and makes the boys execute them. This one they had to race down the side yard, then they had to blast off like a rocket ship...
...then soar through the air!
The boys did this over and over and never complained while Landen begged,
"Adain, adain!!!" I think he wore them out.(Can you see him making sounds effects?)
We had a great day and Landen promptly fell asleep on the way home!

Pictures with Landen~
We were playing in our backyard after our Easter egg hunt and the light was so beautiful I decided to take some pictures and it ended up that everyone wanted a picture with this sweet little guy. Can you blame us!?! He got another haircut and he still looks really cute and not too much like a big boy.
Zach jumped in at the last second.
Me and my baby!
Daddy said stand up tall and he did this.
Hands down, ha! Such a cutie pie!

14 Years~
I know I should be blogging about Easter, but it's already been 2 weeks since our 14 year anniversary(March 28) so I wanted to post about it before anymore time went by.
While the big kids were in school Jeff and I (and Landen) snuck away to Santa Barbara for the day. We always forget how close it is, only about an hour. It's a quick beautiful drive, but this day turned out to be pretty gray and cool. We still had a wonderful time though!
We had lunch at a restaurant on the pier which I guess they call the wharf. Jeff had yummy chowder and crab cakes and I had crab salad.
Landen was the perfect little side kick for the day. He loved seeing the live crabs in the window of the restaurant and the highlight for him was that they were doing construction on the pier and there were huge cranes.
We even saw some crazy guy waterskiing on a surfboard.
14 roses for 14 years!
We used to be able to remember every gift we had ever given to each other for anniversaries and birthdays, but we never wrote them down so now our old brains have forgotten. So just for the memory, Jeff got me a new camera(!), which was part of the reason for going to SB. They have a nice camera store there. Jeff got himself a new bike awhile back and told me not to get him anything, but I got him a book about Kurt Cobain anyway. I was also super cheesy and got him Ivory soap since 14 is the ivory anniversary.;)
