Happy Friday!

Eleven~

My sweet baby girl is eleven! I can't even fathom it anymore, I just have go with it. She is for sure a sweet young lady now and we just couldn't be more proud.

This was the day after her first beach trip with the middle school youth group and you can see her nose and cheeks got kissed by the sun. I sent her covered in sunscreen and made her promise to slather more on every hour, but her nose and cheeks got sun anyway. She was so tired and happy when she came home.

For her birthday she chose to go to California Pizza Kitchen. She got some nail polish pens and a gift card. We had gone clothes shopping earlier in the week for her big present.

She chose to have Sweet Arleen's cupcakes at home. Sweet Arleen's has won the cupcake challenge on Food network. I actually think we like the ones from Livlee Bakery better that we had for Jeff's birthday which I don't think I blogged about. That was a weird sentence. I am pretty tired.

The week after we were able to celebrate with the Thiesens at Tahoe Joe's. They got Mikayla that beautiful necklace she's wearing.

We rounded out her birthday in Bakersfield with the Hierlmeiers.

Mikayla is 5 feet 3.5 inches tall now! She can wear my shoes if she wants. She is growing way too fast, but is still our beautiful, creative, kind, dramatic girl. She is the best sister to Landen and even though they won't admit it she and Zach are best friends.

He's been begging for months and finally I relented.

Now he looks even more like his handsome daddy!

Two Cute~

It has taken me way too long to post these, but summer is busy! This was a month ago already. We celebrated Landen's second birthday on Sunday June 5th since Jeff was going to be in London on the 7th(his actual b-day).

After he woke up from his nap and had a snack we opened presents. This is one from Papa and RuthAnn. As soon as he saw it he said, "Sponge Bob!" I didn't even know he knew who that was. I surely don't let him watch it. Anyway, he loved it and it is a sprinkler.

I saw him playing with a bus at the church nursery and I knew he needed his own. When the big kids first started school here Landen and I would go wait in the pick-up line in the afternoons and the school bus would always drive by us and he would yell bo or bah. Nothing that really sounded like bus, but by the last day of school he was yelling, "Hi bus!" and waving. So sweet and amazing how much he changed from January to June! One day the bus didn't come by and he cried. He just goes crazy when we see buses. This was his favorite present of the whole day and he didn't want to play with anything else or even stop to smile for a picture.

This is the best I got.

He doesn't really seem to like cake all that much so I thought I would make a berry pie instead. Right after this he stuck his finger in the flame. Ouch! But he wasn't really burned, thank goodness. Notice he insisted on bringing his new bus!

He only wanted separate bites of pie and ice cream.

His big gift from us was a cars ride-on toy. It talks really loudly and he didn't care for it or ride it that day.

We took the batteries out so he will ride it now.

I ordered this for him a long time ago and at first he didn't want to wear it. Thankfully he finally put it on because it is just so cute and perfect for our little chef.

All Before Noon~

Mikayla and I had a volleyball tournament at Oxnard park and the beach was right next to it. So we just had to go play for a little bit before lunch.

We can't believe this is our life!

Just as we were leaving our dolphin friends swam by!

I think there is a baby dolphin in this one and that's a pelican flying by.
